Got an idea?
We are currently accepting pitches of all kinds: articles, essays, creative pieces, poetry, criticism, reviews… whatever you have in mind.
Contributions from working class writers, and people from disadvantaged or marginalised backgrounds are particularly invited, but we will consider pitches from anyone.
Working Classicists pays a flat rate of £22 per article.
We try to make the process as useful as possible to our writers and can offer additional support if you feel you would benefit from it.
Support offered includes:
Guidance on pitching
Brainstorm meetings
One-to-one live editing
Advice on invoicing/soliciting other publications
Letters of recommendation and references
Image sourcing
Any other accessibility arrangements required
Please let us know in the pitch form below if you would like to discuss any of the above.
Take a look at our style guide here.
